This is a story from a time when humanity stood at a crossroads, facing danger not from a single direction, but from every side. On one front were criminals misusing modern science; on another were poachers destroying nature; and on the third were dark forces emerging from the depths of the netherworld. No single hero possessed the power to save the world alone. Fate wove a web that brought together three mighty powers from three distinct corners of the universe.

This is not merely a tale of the convergence of machines, beasts, and serpents; it is a story of the emotions, relationships, and loyalties that transform these heroes into ‘superheroes.’ For Jambu—born of science—Angara—born of nature—and Tausi—master of ancient mysteries—family and companions are as vital to their lives as the life force within their bodies.

In this volume, we will witness not only the combat prowess of these warriors but also the unseen threads connecting Bunty’s innocence with Jambu’s iron frame, Jatayu’s wings with Angara’s resolve, and Ajanta’s love with Tausi’s sacred duty. It is also a tribute to the ‘silent warriors’—such as the Whale Queen and Suzuki—who stood behind the heroes to save the world from annihilation.

A super-robot to whom Dr. Bhava gave not only power but also emotions and relationships

In the history of Indian comics, Jambu stands as a marvel in which science and emotion intertwine. His story is not that of an ordinary robot, but of a ‘super-robot’ molded in the image of human emotion. His creator, the brilliant scientist Dr. Bhava, built Jambu not merely to combat crime, but to fill the void of a son in his own life. Dr. Bhava’s son, Bunty, is not merely a companion to Jambu but the very foundation of his existence.

Jambu’s body is composed of a unique alloy, rendering him impervious to any modern weapon on Earth. A small camera on his forehead and sensors near his ears grant him the ability to see and hear activities from miles away. Jambu’s most remarkable feature is the ‘drill machine’ concealed within his legs; by accelerating his leg movements to thousands of revolutions per minute, he can pierce through even the hardest layers of the earth to reach its depths. Laser beams emitted from his fingers can slice through walls that are otherwise virtually unbreakable. Yet, despite all these powers, Jambu possesses a circuit that activates the moment it senses that Bunty is in distress or danger.

The bond between Bunty and Jambu forms the most emotional element of this saga. Bunty is a playful yet brave boy whom criminals often use as a pawn to entrap Jambu—much like in the events in Hong Kong, where the henchmen of the ‘Blue Diamond’ abducted him.

A warrior forged from the powers of various animals, who made protecting nature his sacred duty

While Jambu represents the pinnacle of scientific achievement, Angara embodies the very essence of nature. Angara’s existence is the result of a mysterious scientific experiment born of a profound love for wildlife; he is the supreme ruler of ‘Angara Island.’ Though born human, he underwent complex surgery performed by Dr. Kunal following a horrific accident—a procedure that infused his body with the DNA and attributes of various animals. He possesses rhinoceros-like tough skin that bullets cannot penetrate, the immense strength of an elephant capable of moving mountains, and the agility of a cheetah that allows him to move with the speed of the wind.

Angara’s most unique power is his ability to communicate with animals. He can understand the languages of creatures ranging from the fiercest lion in the jungle to the tiniest fish in the ocean. He has a vast family on Angara Island. Foremost among his loyal companions is Jatayu, a colossal eagle whose wingspan is so vast that it can block out the sunlight. He serves as Angara’s ‘aerial mount.’ In the ocean depths, his friend and protector is the Whale Queen, who can sink enemy warships like toys with a single strike. Additionally, Angara’s commander is Majuki—a formidable human warrior—who oversees the island’s defense. Angara’s character teaches us that power should be used not for destruction, but to protect the innocent and the voiceless.

How did the shape-shifting, divine-weapon-wielding Tausi (Serpent King) become an ally of Jambu and Angara?

Among the three, Tausi possesses the most mysterious and ancient persona. He is the heir to the Underworld and the King of the Nagas (serpents). Tausi is a shape-shifting Naga, meaning he can assume the form of any living being or inanimate object at will. In human form, he appears as a powerful and radiant warrior; however, when enraged and transformed into his true Naga form, his colossal physique is enough to strike terror even into the hearts of mighty demons.

Tausi’s powers extend far beyond mere physical strength. He possesses ancient wisdom bestowed upon him by the sages of the Underworld and wields divine weapons like the ‘Brahmastra.’ His family includes his beautiful and valiant wife, Ajanta. Ajanta is not merely a queen; she fights alongside Tausi on the battlefield, acting as his constant shadow. At his mere signal, Tausi’s entire Naga empire stands ready to wage war in any corner of the universe. Tausi’s path crossed with those of Jambu and Angara when the ‘Super Boss’ orchestrated a trap that turned these three protectors against one another, making them thirst for each other’s blood. It was Tausi who, through his wisdom, resolved the misunderstanding between Jambu and Angara and laid the foundation for the ‘Grand Alliance,’ known in the world of Indian comics as the ‘Trimurti’ (The Trinity).

How did a conflict sparked by Bunty’s kidnapping evolve into a grand alliance between Jambu, Angara, and Tausi?

It all began with the kidnapping of Bunty. Criminals planted false information in Jambu’s system, claiming that Angara was the one who had abducted the boy. Jambu, willing to go to any lengths for Bunty, used his drill machine to pierce through the earth and arrive directly at Angara Island. There, he unleashed a level of devastation the likes of which had never been witnessed before; Angara’s loyal beasts were being crushed by the might of his machinery. A titanic battle ensued between Angara and Jambu—a clash pitting the metallic might of science against the flesh and blood of the natural world. Just as Angara teetered on the brink of defeat, Tausi burst forth from the earth. Using his Naag-shakti (serpent power), Tausi intercepted Jambu’s laser beams and compelled him to engage in a peaceful dialogue. Ultimately, by piecing together the clues, the three realized that they were merely pawns of the ‘Blue Diamond.’ That very day, inside Angara’s cave, they joined hands and vowed that, from then on, they would function as three parts of a single entity.

How did the love of an innocent child become both Jambu’s greatest weakness and his greatest strength?

Bunty is not merely Jambu’s younger brother; he embodies the human emotion beating within Jambu’s mechanical frame. He is the son of the renowned scientist Dr. Bhava. When Dr. Bhava created Jambu, he did not simply build a robot; he created a protector and an elder brother for Bunty.

Bunty is a playful, innocent, yet incredibly courageous child. He represents both Jambu’s ‘weakness’ and his ‘greatest strength.’ Criminals know that Jambu cannot be defeated in direct combat, so they invariably target Bunty. The entire saga of the ‘War between Jambu and Angara’ hinged on Bunty’s abduction. When Bunty was held captive in Hong Kong, Jambu’s rage knew no bounds. The bond between Bunty and Jambu is so profound that Jambu cannot bear to see even a single tear in the boy’s eyes. For Jambu, Bunty’s word is absolute law. Bunty often accompanies Jambu on missions, using his youthful ingenuity to outwit formidable criminals. He represents the ‘human face’ of Jambu—the very aspect that inspires trust among the ordinary public.

A warrior who thwarts every aerial threat with his massive wings and unwavering loyalty

If Angara has Suzuki on the ground, then Jatayu is his most loyal and powerful companion in the sky. Jatayu is no ordinary bird; he is an ancient, colossal eagle. His eyesight is so keen that he can spot a tiny ant moving on the ground even from above the clouds.

The bond between Jatayu and Angara is not that of master and servant, but that of two brothers. Whenever Angara needs to travel long distances or launch an aerial attack on enemies, Jatayu arrives with lightning speed. His wingspan is so vast that he can carry both Jambu and Angara on his back simultaneously. In battle, Jatayu wreaks havoc on enemy helicopters using his razor-sharp talons and powerful beak. On numerous occasions, he has single-handedly thwarted aerial assaults by the ‘Super Boss.’ Jatayu’s greatest attribute is his loyalty; once, when Angara tasked him with guarding ‘Lhasa Island,’ he stood his ground there for weeks without food or water. He serves as Angara’s ‘eyes in the sky.’

The mighty guardian of the seas, capable of sinking enemy warships in an instant

Angara Island is surrounded on all sides by the deep ocean, and the responsibility of protecting those waters rests with the Whale Queen. She is the largest and most powerful whale in the sea. Her devotion to Angara knows no bounds.

Whenever an enemy attempts to attack Angara Island via the sea, the Whale Queen rises like a ferocious ocean storm. With a single strike of her massive body, she sends the enemy’s mighty warships and submarines plunging into the ocean depths. Angara often travels across the sea, sitting safely within the Whale Queen’s jaws—as seen in the ‘Jambu Ke Bete’ (Sons of Jambu) series. The Whale Queen is not merely a warrior; she is also deeply compassionate. She acts as a protector of the smaller fish and creatures of the ocean. When a conflict arose between Jambu and Angara due to a misunderstanding, it was the Whale Queen who shielded the marine life from Jambu’s mechanical attacks. She serves as Angara’s ‘Naval Commander.’

A loyal warrior who holds the island and its army together even in Angara’s absence

Suzuki (also referred to as Mazuki in some instances) is the cornerstone of Angara Island’s defense system. He is an immensely strong and loyal human warrior. Suzuki is Angara’s oldest and most trusted friend.

Suzuki possesses the temperament of a disciplined soldier. He acts as a vital link between Angara Island’s animal army and its human defenders. While Angara understands the language of animals, Suzuki is a master of battle strategy and the art of combat. Suzuki’s physical strength rivals that of any superhero; he can single-handedly take on dozens of ‘Blue Men.’ When the ‘Super Boss’ attacked Angara Island, it was Suzuki who led the island’s defense in Angara’s absence and saved it from collapse. Suzuki’s sacrifice and courage are unparalleled; he is always ready to lay down his life for Angara.

The story of the two brilliant scientists who bestowed extraordinary powers upon Jambu and Angara

The minds of two great scientists lie behind these heroes.

Dr. Bhava: The creator of Jambu. He is a deeply compassionate and patriotic scientist. He created Jambu to provide India with an invincible protector. He loves Jambu like a son and often teaches him lessons about right, wrong, and justice.

Dr. Kunal: Angara’s mentor and friend. It was Dr. Kunal who endowed Angara’s body with those special powers. An expert in biological science, he often assists in treating injured animals as well as Angara himself.

Not merely Tausi’s wife, but a brave guardian of the Underworld, empowered by serpent-like abilities

Tausi’s strength lies not only in his serpents but also in his wife, Ajanta. Ajanta is the Queen of Patal Lok and Tausi’s greatest source of strength. She is not merely a beautiful queen but also a master of the art of warfare. When Tausi is on a mission on Earth alongside Jambu and Angara, it is Ajanta who ensures the security of Patal Lok. She possesses unique serpent-based powers that allow her to confound and mislead enemies. The bond of love between Tausi and Ajanta is unbreakable, and they would go to any lengths to protect one another.

Jackie and Jenny (Friends from Hong Kong)

Human characters like Jackie and Jenny played significant roles in the early issues of these comics. Jackie was the boy who was shot by the villain Sigma and whose life was saved by Jambu using his technological prowess. These characters remind us that our heroes do not merely save the universe; they also empathize deeply with the personal suffering of ordinary human beings.

Ordinary humans whose story brought Jambu’s emotions and humanity to the forefront: The Triangular Shield of Suzuki, Jatayu, and the Whale Queen

At a thrilling juncture in the story—when the ‘Super Boss’ launched a simultaneous assault on Angara Island from the air, land, and sea—these three allies of Angara formed a ‘triangular defensive shield.’

In the sky: Jatayu engaged the enemy fighter jets within the span of his wings.

On land: Suzuki, alongside an army of elephants and lions, halted the enemy tanks.

At sea: The Whale Queen devastated the enemy navy.

This scene is regarded as one of the most glorious moments in Indian comics, where—even in the absence of the main heroes—their loyal companions crushed the world’s largest criminal organization.

Why is the epic saga of this trinity incomplete without Bunty, Jatayu, the Whale Queen, and Suzuki?

Bunty’s innocence, Jatayu’s valor, the Whale Queen’s depth, and Suzuki’s discipline—these are the qualities that make Jambu, Angara, and Tausi ‘great.’ Without these companions, the heroes would have been reduced to mere embodiments of mechanical or brute force. These characters teach us that victory belongs not just to the hero, but also to the ‘teamwork’ and ‘loyalty’ of those who fight the battle behind the scenes.
