Many magical and mysterious characters have appeared in the comic universe of Raj Comics’ most popular superhero, Nagraj, but the character of the parallel world’s queen, ‘Nagrani’, is the most unique, powerful, and emotional. She is not only the female counterpart of Nagraj but also the protector and queen of a world run entirely by women, and the mother of ‘Nagish’, the only son of Nagraj.
If you also want to know in detail about this mysterious heroine from the classic Raj Comics comic ‘Funkar’ and Mahagatha Nagayana’s ‘Summer Scandal’, then this entire article is for you.
Who is Nagrani? Mysterious origins associated with the parallel universe
Nagrani is not a resident of our Earth. She comes from a special dimension of a parallel Earth. Her world operates completely contrary to the normal social and natural laws of our world.

Nagrani’s world is ruled by a matriarchal society. There, the entire responsibility for governance, the army, science, and law is in the hands of women only. Men in that dimension are considered extremely weak and of lower status, both physically and mentally. Nagrani is the greatest queen and serpent protector of this world. Like Nagraj, she also has miraculous powers to change her form at will, weave a web of snakes, and release deadly poison with her hiss.
Unique science of Nagrani’s world: Where poison is life and oxygen is poison!
The biological structure of Nagrani’s dimension is completely opposite to that of our Earth:
Alkaloids (Alkaloids/serpent toxins) are the vital air: The basis of life for the organisms of that dimension, especially the serpent species, is the ‘alkaloids’ (alkaline elements/serpent toxins) present in the atmosphere. This poisonous element gives energy to their bodies and keeps their minds and cells alive.
Oxygen is deadly: The pure oxygen in our environment acts like a slow poison in their bodies. If they do not receive the toxin for a long time and are exposed only to oxygen, they start suffocating and become unconscious.
The Great Rebellion of Shell-Gel: When Two Dimensions Collide
In Nagrani’s world, there was an extremely modern prison named ‘Shell-Gel’, where the most infamous and dangerous prisoners of that dimension were kept locked up. The greatest criminal of all time imprisoned in this prison was the scientist ‘Sarani’.
Sarani started absorbing alkaloids from the atmosphere of the entire planet by mixing a special chemical (crystal dust) into the air-controller system of the jail. The amount of toxic elements in the atmosphere dropped from 22% to only 3%, causing the entire population to faint in agony. Meanwhile, Sarani broke through the magnetic shield of the jail and escaped with her fellow prisoners.

Coincidentally, at the same time, Nagraj was experiencing a polar shift on Earth. The disruption in the balance of the Shell-Gel’s magnetic-field generator caused the magnetic fields of both dimensions to interconnect like a ‘zip’. This magnetic interlocking caused the Shell-Gel and the criminals from that dimension to fall directly into the metropolis on Nagraj’s Earth. Sarani took the entire city hostage by covering the metropolis with that universe’s deadliest and fastest-spreading radioactive metal layer, named ‘Syntam’.
First Encounter Between Nagraj and Nagrani: When the Hiss of Poison Became the Gift of Life
Chasing Sarani, Queen Nagrani reached the metropolis of our Earth. During their very first meeting, a major misunderstanding arose between Nagraj and Nagrani. Because of the beliefs of her planet, Nagrani felt that Nagraj, standing in front of her, was a weak man, while Nagraj mistook her for a dangerous attacker.
A fierce battle started between the two. When Nagraj released his deadly poison to stop Nagrani, a shocking miracle occurred. Instead of dying from Nagraj’s deadly poison, Nagrani’s withered body suddenly started glowing with amazing energy.

Nagrani’s friend and scientific analyst examined the entire situation and told Nagrani the truth: the potent serpent venom flowing through Nagraj’s body contained pure alkaloids, due to the deficiency of which her entire planet had reached the brink of death.
When Nagrani saw that Nagraj, despite being a man, possessed immense power, good values, bravery, and kindness, deep respect and love for Nagraj arose in her heart. She proposed marriage to Nagraj so that she could take him to her world as a citizen of her own dimension and give life to her people.
The Great Renunciation of Visarpi: When the Engagement Was Broken for the Sake of Two Realms
Meanwhile, Nagraj’s fiancée and Nagdweep’s princess, Visarpi, reached there. When Visarpi saw that Nagrani wanted to marry Nagraj and take him to her world forever, a fierce serpent battle started between the two. Nagrani took Visarpi hostage with her ‘Nagvriksha’ power.
When Nagraj tried to stop them both, Visarpi made a difficult decision, holding back her tears to protect the billions of innocent creatures of both dimensions. She took off her engagement ring and handed it over to Nagraj. This silent sacrifice by Visarpi is considered one of the most emotional moments in Raj Comics.
Dada Vedacharya’s ‘Putradan’: How Was Nagraj’s Son ‘Nagish’ (Naagish) Born?
Now, the biggest dilemma facing Nagraj was that he could neither abandon the protection of his Earth and remain in another dimension forever nor allow Nagrani’s world to suffocate and die.

The solution to this difficult problem was found by Dada Vedacharya, Nagraj’s guru and a great expert in Tantra. Recalling the power of the scriptures and the science of the other world, he said that the solution to this problem was a form of Nagraj himself, within whom the same life-giving poison would flow—that is, the son of Nagraj!
Through his divine magical powers, Dada Vedacharya placed Nagraj’s biological essence and serpent element in Nagrani’s womb, which was called ‘Putradan’ in the comics. Along with this, due to the effect of magical energy, the nine-month pregnancy was completed within a few moments so that Nagrani could return to her dimension and give birth to her son.
Nagrani returned to her world with gratitude, carrying a part of Nagraj in her womb. After reaching there, she gave birth to Nagraj’s son, who was named—Nagish.
Nagish’s (Naagish) Spectacular Entry in the Nagayan Mahayudh: Created a Stir Alongside His Father

The power of Nagish, the son of Nagrani and Nagraj, was revealed to the entire world years later in the famous ‘Nagayan’ (Samar Kand) great war:
When the cruel Pasha and Mahakalchidra surrounded Nagraj from all sides in the Alandhya dimension, the teenage warrior Nagish descended onto the battlefield as his father’s shield.
Nagish revealed that not only did the divine and eternal poison of his father, Nagraj, flow through his blood, but he had also absorbed the most terrifying ‘Halahal’ of his dimension.
Due to this combination of two poisons, Nagish’s attacks had become even more destructive than Nagraj’s. Nagish, along with Nagraj, defeated Alandhya’s enormous army of demons and Yetis.
Major Superpowers of Nagrani
Split Power: Nagrani can divide her body into dozens of separate living forms during battle, allowing her to fight an entire army alone.
Nagkesh and Hawthorn Trap: Her hair transforms into enormous and poisonous black serpents, which trap and crush her enemies within moments.
Nagvriksha (Snake Tree Construct): She can grow powerful snake trees from the ground, from whose clutches even shape-shifting beings cannot escape.
Poison Absorption Power (Venom Absorption): Any kind of deadly serpent toxin acts as a strength-boosting tonic for her body and quickly heals her wounds.
Conclusion: The Most Powerful and Unique Queen of Raj Comics
Nagrani is not merely the queen of a parallel universe, but also a unique example of self-respect, leadership, women’s empowerment, and motherhood in the history of Raj Comics. Her strong determination to save her planet, her true love for Nagraj, and her role in raising her son Nagish to become a great protector of the universe make her one of the most memorable and respected heroines in Indian comics.
