Raj Comics’ memorable creation, the ‘Shaktiroopa’ series, which includes three important parts named ‘Stree-Bhu‘, ‘Sindhunaad‘, and ‘Mrityuroopa‘, holds a special place in the history of Indian comics. Written by Anupam Sinha and edited by Manoj Gupta, the series is a profound story of women’s power, scientific mysteries, and the clash of two civilizations. The characters are portrayed in great depth in this story, with each character having their own thoughts and feelings. Here, all the major and minor characters of this series are described in great detail.

First section: The path of justice and righteousness (heroes and supporting characters)

The heroic side of the ‘Shaktiroopa’ series is a living example of selfless service, unwavering courage, and justice. The forces of goodness in this story are led by Super Commando Dhruv, who makes the impossible possible with his sharp intelligence despite his physical weakness. Standing with him is Sindhu, the great protector of women, who chooses the difficult path of balancing her ancient traditions with today’s truth. Devina’s character shows the conflict between human emotions and divine power, while supporting characters like Chandika and Divasti prove that loyalty and strong determination are the true foundations of victory. This side not only fights external enemies but also tries to stop the dangerous imbalance of power that has become a threat to the existence of all humanity and the feminine world.

Super Commando Dhruv

Super Commando Dhruv is the protector of Rajnagar, whose real power lies in his strong determination and unique intelligence. Throughout this series, Dhruv goes through a situation that becomes the most difficult challenge of his life. Dhruv gradually starts losing his physical strength due to the influence of the divine and scientific energy of ‘Shaktiroopa’. He becomes as weak as a normal man, but this is the time when his character shines the most. Despite his physical weakness, Dhruv uses his reasoning ability to understand the root of the problem in the feminine world. He not only saves Rajnagar from destruction but also restores the lost dignity and balance of power in the feminine land. Dhruv’s aim is not to take revenge but to improve the situation, which makes him different from other heroes.

Sindhu (great protector of women)

Sindhu is the most influential female character in this series, symbolizing unwavering courage and exceptional fighting skills. She is the protector of the secret kingdom called Stree-Bhu and leads a huge army of eagles. She has a very complex personality; initially, she considers men from the outside world to be her enemies, as she was taught that men exist only to cause destruction and exploitation. Her initial conflict with Dhruv and their subsequent friendship are highlights of the story. Sindhu has a powerful mechanical horse named ‘Vayushva’ and is capable of descending like lightning upon her enemies from the sky. She risks her life in search of the truth and ultimately supports righteousness and justice, even against her queen’s superstitions.

Devina (bearer/Subject 652 of Shaktiroopa)

Devina’s character is a combination of human suffering and supernatural power. She was once a talented performer at Jupiter Circus, but a mysterious accident took away her memory. For the scientists at the Genetic Research Center, she was only ‘Subject 652’, but in reality, she had become the living carrier of the energy of ‘Shaktiroopa’. Devina’s body had the amazing ability to endure the immense energy that transformed her from an ordinary woman into an omnipotent being. Her eyes are filled with a strange pain and anger. When she starts vaguely remembering things from her past, she becomes restless. Devina’s journey is a story of regaining her identity and bearing the burden of the immense power that pulls her into the battlefield even when she does not want to be there.

Chandika/Shweta (example of wisdom and courage)

Shweta, who is Dhruv’s sister, plays a pivotal role in this series through her secret identity, ‘Chandika’. When Dhruv becomes powerless and is imprisoned within the walls of a hospital or jail, Chandika becomes the link that keeps the flag of justice flying high in the outside world. She makes the best use of her technical knowledge and detective equipment to understand the plans of clever villains like Natasha and Billauri. Her contribution is very important in the fierce battle inside the mall and in locating Natasha’s secret hideouts. Chandika proves that becoming a superhero requires not only superpowers but also a sharp mind and unwavering love for one’s brother.

Divasti (warrior with a changed heart)

Divasti’s character portrays her journey from an ‘agent’ to a ‘protector’. She was an important member of an organization called the Hunters, and her grandfather was the abbot of the monastery. Initially, she only followed the orders she was given, but after coming into contact with Dhruv, she realized that the true use of power should be for justice. She not only helps Dhruv but also unmasks the traitors alongside Sindhu, the protector of the feminine world. Divasti’s character conveys the message that no matter what a person’s past may have been, they can change their future through the things they do today. She comes across as a skilled communications expert and strategic warrior.

Akshaya Devi (wealthy philanthropist of the feminine world)

Akshaya Devi is a character from the feminine world who uses her intelligence and immense wealth for the development of the state. Although at one point she is suspected of betrayal, she is proven innocent in the end. She plays an important role in properly managing the internal structure of the feminine world and its mechanical systems. Her character shows the balance between power and morality. She provides Dhruv with the scientific basis without which it would have been impossible to solve the mystery of ‘Shaktiroopa’.

Abbot of the Monastery/Matesh (Protector of History)

Matesh is a living encyclopedia of the ancient history of Stree-Bhu and Shaktiroopa. He is the protector of the holy temple where Shaktiroopa’s energy had been preserved for many decades. His character provides important information in the story, which connects the readers to the age-old tale of ‘Satyagi’s curse’ and ‘Jivohra’s sacrifice’. His calm nature and farsighted thinking help Dhruv find the right path.

Second Section: Powers of Darkness (Villains and Opposing Sides)

The villainous side of this series reveals the dark face of human greed, ego, and blind hunger for power. The main face of this destructive group is Natasha, whose ambition does not prevent her from throwing the whole world into the fire of nuclear war. She is accompanied by a cunning and insidious conspirator like Billauri, who, for her own ends, intensifies the hatred between two great civilizations. Queen Sarani’s fanatical thinking and the betrayal of her own people, like Kaustubha, make this darkness even more terrible. Cruel warriors like Victor and the Bandhavi sisters are merely weapons of destruction that have nothing to do with morality. The sole goal of the villainous side is to misuse the immense energy of ‘Shaktiroopa’ to bind all of humanity in the shackles of slavery and establish its empire.

Natasha (Commander of Destruction)

Natasha is the biggest and most dangerous villain of this epic. She is the daughter of the notorious criminal ‘Grandmaster Robbo’ and possesses the same cold cruelty and destructive ambition as her father. Natasha’s only goal is to establish her control over the entire world by weaponizing the energy of ‘Shaktiroopa’. She is not only a warrior but also a great technical expert who can control nuclear missiles and robotic forces with a single gesture. Her audacity has increased so much that she does not shy away from challenging the US President by breaching the security of the White House. Natasha’s character represents the ego that believes power is the only truth. Her cruelty becomes more evident when she tries to use characters like Devina and Sindhu as her pawns.

Billauri (Mistress of Deceit and Fraud)

Billauri is the true mastermind behind this entire conspiracy. She is so adept at disguise that she even deceived Queen Sarani herself and the administration of Stree-Bhu. Billauri’s character is a symbol of greed and betrayal. She planned to steal Shaktiroopa and send her to the outside world so that Stree-Bhu’s security could be weakened and she could seize power. She likes to work behind the scenes, and playing with people’s emotions is her greatest weapon. She not only endangered Dhruv’s family but also created a rift among the great warriors of Stree-Bhu. Billauri’s cunning makes her the most despicable yet important villainess of this series.

Rani Sarani (Ruler Who Followed the Wrong Path)

The character of Rani Sarani is quite controversial. Although she wanted the well-being of the feminine world, her deep hatred and arrogance towards men led her down the wrong path. She is portrayed as a ruler who became so blind in following her traditions that she erased the distinction between justice and injustice. She suspected a loyal protector like Sindhu and tried to impose the death penalty on Dhruv simply because he was a man. Queen Sarani’s downfall was caused by her own fanatical thinking and the blind faith she placed in traitors like Billauri. By the time she finally realized her mistake, it was too late, and her kingdom had reached the brink of destruction.

Victor (Natasha’s Silent Killer)

Victor is Natasha’s most trusted and dangerous partner. He is a character who speaks little, but his actions are extremely destructive. Victor has a stockpile of modern weapons and explosive capsules. He is a constant threat to Dhruv and Sindhu. His loyalty lies only with Natasha, and he has the ability to go to any extent to complete his mission. Victor’s silent nature makes his cruelty all the more terrifying. He was also successful in misleading Sindhu’s eagles by using scientific equipment.

Kaustubha (Treacherous Protector)

Kaustubha was a senior army officer in Stree-Bhu’s security forces who betrayed her own country out of greed for position and power. She was jealous of Sindhu and wanted to gain control over Shaktiroopa. Kaustubha poisoned Queen Sarani’s mind and instigated her against Sindhu. Her character shows that an enemy hidden within is more dangerous than an external enemy. She continued sowing the seeds of destruction while wearing the mask of a protector. Her eventual exposure was a major part of the victory of justice.

Bandhavi Sisters (Deadly Warriors Fighting for Money)

The Bandhavi sisters are trained fighters and assassins who work only for money and follow Billauri’s orders. They are experts in the art of warfare, and their fighting style is extremely violent. They played a key role in carrying out the plan to take Devina captive and steal Shaktiroopa. They possess deadly weapons that can defeat any warrior in a moment. Their loyalty in the series lies only with crime, and they do not accept any moral boundaries. Their presence creates constant tension, and they reveal the ugly face of organized crime.

Gear-Man and Flow-Blow (Hunters’ Henchmen)

Both of these characters are low-level villains from the ‘Hunters’ organization who work to spread terror in Dhruv’s home and throughout Rajnagar. Gear-Man specializes in attacking with mechanical wheels and saws, while Flow-Blow uses air pressure and smoke to blind enemies and render them helpless. Although they are not as powerful as Natasha, they create serious trouble for Chandika and Dhruv’s family in Dhruv’s absence.

The Final Outcome

All these characters in the ‘Shaktiroopa’ saga come together to create a world where the battle for power is not only physical but also ideological. While, on the one hand, characters like Dhruv and Sindhu teach sacrifice and mutual cooperation, on the other hand, characters like Natasha and Billauri show how uncontrolled power and greed can lead an entire civilization towards destruction. This series is not just a superhero comic but also a detailed study of the different aspects of human nature.
